This is the third song I wrote as part of February Album Writing Month 2020. It’s a fanfiction song about the TV show Letterkenny. I’ve been obsessed with it for months and I’ve been binge watching it like crazy. I love the writing, the humor, and the music in the show, and it also makes me sort of long to be part of the Letterkenny life in a way. I thought it would be fun to write a song about it in the same style as a lot of the music that shows up during the high-energy fight scenes in the show.

This track opens the same way that an episode of Letterkenny does, and proceeds to go into a raw, rowdy, and repetitive garage/punk rock kind of song. The main influences on this song were “I Wanna Be Sedated” by The Ramones, and “Hypnotize” by The White Stripes—as well as most of the loud rock music in Letterkenny, especially “Boy Void” by No Age.

Here is a Spotify playlist of all the music from the show here: open.spotify.com/playlist/1yqkMWiV2cCpyUAKC6VhDE?si=dO4Xa9nXTWqkZIg8_rwulg

From that selection of songs, I made this playlist of all the rock music in the show:
