This is a collection of cover songs that I’ve recorded over the past 5 years. They’ve been sitting on my hard drive, not being listened to, and I thought it would be fun to release them into the world!

About half of this album is Green Day covers, which won’t come as a surprise to anyone who knows me personally. However, there’s a decent amount of variety of bands, mostly in the indie/punk rock realm. I also recorded more than one version of certain songs, to experiment with slightly different approaches to the same song.

All of these songs were recorded and mixed in GarageBand for iOS. Some of them were recorded with really basic and limited equipment; the more lo-fi sounding covers were recorded solely with the microphone built into a pair of Apple EarPods. The guitar and ukulele tracks were double tracked and hard panned L/R to sound stereo and to widen the overall stereo image. This was around 2014~2015, when I was limited to the editing capabilities of GarageBand on iOS 8 and 9. You can probably tell which songs were mixed and recorded in this way. Everything else was recorded with a Zoom iQ5 stereo mid-side condenser microphone, which sounds much clearer.
