about

About a month ago, in early April, I went outside to play guitar because the weather was nice and I was tired of being inside. I decided to record myself and the sounds around me—neighbors and other kids playing, birds chirping, and (unfortunately) the wind blowing. My Zoom iQ5 picked up these sounds, and my acoustic/electric guitar (the one in my bio photo) was wirelessly connected to my audio interface inside so I could capture the DI signal as well. This allowed me to alter the tone after the fact to sound like an electric guitar.

I also chose to keep all of the songs (except for “Everlong,” in the end) instrumental. Mostly because I hate recording vocals around other people and knowing that they can hear me singing. But also just for something different.

This is basically just my casual time playing whatever happened to come to mind, with my guitar enhanced with various effects, and the recordings augmented by Spitfire Audio’s amazing LABS instruments. I had just downloaded those and decided to put them to use here. They sound fantastic and perfectly fit the mellow mood I was going for.

I hope you enjoy listening to this! This has given me something creative but low-stress to work on throughout this past month, and it’s made the COVID-19 quarantine experience a little bit more bearable.

Bri-Guy ’95 Rochester, New York

Bri-Guy ’95 is my singer-songwriter alias. I’m from Rochester, NY and I write songs in different styles and genres according to whatever I’m feeling. My style tends to derive itself from rock/pop and pop-punk.

Songwriting and music production have become my favorite hobbies. I want to share my recorded tracks with the world—and continue to record even more.

As always, thank you for listening!
